"VVS" B-25 Skinpack

This is a collection of skins for the B-25C and B-25J-1 in the markings used by the Voenno-Vozdushnye Sily (Military Air Forces of the USSR) during WWII. The US provided 826 B-25s of various types to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease. As with many Soviet planes, it can be difficult to find photographic evidence showing how they were painted and marked. Consider these skins "artist's renderings", although I have tried to make them as accurate as possible. The most interesting skin (to me) is the camouflaged J model. There are color photos of planes marked this way, although I have not seen any suggesting that they flew operationally with this scheme. It was painted on at the factory and at least is a 'delivery' scheme. The B-25C 'delivery' skin is named that way since it had non-standard VVS markings only for the purposes of delivery flights to Alaska, where Soviets pilots took over and completed delivery.
