P-51B/P-51C/Mustang III Racer Skin Pack

I made this pack of skins mainly because I was stuck in a skinning rut and felt I needed to do something different for once. These skins are of various racing Mustangs, both old and new. The newer ones mostly started as P-51D models, but since they have cut-down canopies and other modifications, they look something like the B.

Some of these planes have gone through several paint schemes over the years. Some of the changes have been fairly small (sponsor decals, crew names etc.) and others have been complete makeovers. I've tried to pick a representative point in time for each.

Early Racers:
Cochran - A plane flown by Jackie Cochran in the 1946 Bendix Race
Latin American - One of 3 P-51s entered in the 1948 Bendix Race by oil tycoon Glenn McCarthy. This one was flown by Paul Mantz (thus the #46)
Mantz 46 - Paul Mantz's P-51C as flown in the 1946 Bendix race
Excalibur III - This is the same plane that Mantz flew in '46-48. In 1951, Charles Blair flew Excalibur III from Norway to Alaska across the North Pole, setting a world record in the process. This plane now hangfs from the ceiling of the Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

Modern Racers:
Dago Red - A modified P-51D (44-74996) that flys regularly in the Reno Air Races. Max speed is 520+ mph
Miss Foxy Lady - This racer (44-74502) flew back in the '70s but was bought and returned to a more stock configuration. It is now flying as "Crazy Horse 2"
Precious Metal II - While it looks like a restored Allison-engined P-51A, this was actually a new-build aircraft. It was wrecked in a fatal take-off crash at Oshkosh in 2007.
Red Baron - (44-84961) One of the more radical racing Mustangs, owner Ed Browning actually called this plane an "RB-51" (Red Baron - 51) since it had so little in common with the P-51. With a Griffon engine and contra-rotating props, it was one of the faster planes at Reno until it crashed in 1979. It's data plaate and other parts of it are flying today as "Wee Willy II"; amore or less stock P-51D.
Strega - Another modified P-51D (44-13105), it is still flying at Reno today.
