P-51D Racer Skin Pack

I made this pack of skins mainly because I was stuck in a skinning rut and felt I needed to do something different for once. These skins are of various racing Mustangs, both old and new. Some of these I have also done as a P-51B skin, since they have radically cut-down canopies and look more like the older B model!

Some of these planes have gone through several paint schemes over the years. Some of the changes have been fairly small (sponsor decals, crew names etc.) and others have been complete makeovers. I've tried to pick a representative point in time for each.

Bardahl Miss - (44-74506) A racer from the '60s. It is now a restored warbird P-51D "Lady B".

Hi Time II - (44-74506) As best I can tell, "Bardahl Miss" was repainted as "Hi Time II"sometime in the 70s.

Miss America - (44-74536) A very pretty racing Mustang. Still flying and racing.

Miss Suzy Q - (44-74756) This rather over-decorated Mustang crashed in 1976.

Ole Yeller - (44-74739) Robert A "Bob" Hoover's famous plane (now flown and raced by John Bagley) that he flew in many thrilling aerobatic routines. For 20 years it was also the official pace and safety plane for the Unlimited Class at Reno.

Dago Red - (44-74996) A modified P-51D that flys regularly in the Reno Air Races. Max speed is 520+ mph

Miss Foxy Lady - (44-74502) This racer flew back in the '70s but was bought and returned to a more stock configuration. It is now flying as "Crazy Horse 2"

Strega - (44-13105) Another modified P-51D, it is still flying at Reno today.

Voodoo - (44-73415) This racer once had a low-slung cockpit like Strega and Miss Foxy Lady, but now has the traditional bubble canopy. Still flying at Reno.
