| Description | Here's one of my favorites from a couple years ago. The question arose if anyone had skinned 'Sentimental Journey', and apparently this restored Fortress had not been done yet. I had already done a few B-17D's, so I set about modifying my template to accommodate a G-model. With the end of the summer airshow schedule, Sentimental Journey returns to Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona, to undergo general repairs and restoration work; hence the arid backdrop in the upper screenshot. She is maintained by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. Please see the included history for more details. I had a lot of fun with this one and learned a few things as well, mostly playing with reflection and shadow effects. Obviously, she's not wearing a historical scheme, but she's a beauty to see flying the airshow circuit and will add a little 'Forties' ambience to any formation.
