The Albatros fighters were known for their glossy appearance on the fuselage. The fuselage of these planes were factory painted with brushes, that´s the reason why. Some units painted their planes over, to get the rid of this glossy look.
I tried to give this plane from Kurt Schönfelder a dull and worn out appearance, together with some flake and scratches around the cockpit It was flown with Jasta 7 early 1918.
