When I try to play later scenarios(1943) either as Corsair or SBD in the Solomons campaign; I get an error saying No 3do Russian paratroopers. Is this an easy fix? I am enjoying the early scenarios immensely. Thanks for all your hard work.

I guess you mean this error message:
"Mesh3do/humans/Paratroopers/Russia/mono.sim"
Right?

It has nothing to do with the campaign, it is a memory problem. If you are using a mod pack like UP3 or DBW it can be solved by changing the RAM usage setting in the Il-2 Selector.

You have the error right. I have never see the RAM selector. I turn off the Paratrooper in external view switch, but that causes a CTD.

If you can turn off the Paratroopers in external view, you are obviously using an unmodded game version or HSFX7. Both don't have the RAM usage setting. I guess the real problem is, that you are running the game on an old PC without enough RAM, which is causing problems on larger maps. Closing some processes and tasks in the background might help. In the past when I still had my old PC I had to quit the game when I got the paratrooper error and then restart it. Sometimes this helped.
