Level 3Love your work Armin, love Stukas to, but please don't forget those other work-horses the He111s, stock Dorniers and the remodeled Ju 88s. IL2 won't be complete til these underskinned air-craft have had the full Armin treatment

12 years agoAdminHi all,
sorry currently ain't got much time on my hands for skinning but here's a little update of the stuka project. This is the way the most StG3 desert stukas looked about in the second half of 1942 and early 1943. Just patches/stripes of italian or german(RLM79b) sandbrown colour were painted over the standard splinter camo, patterns were individual for each plane and differed a lot.
Still a lot to correct but i'm slowly making progress...

12 years agoAdminLatest screens, finally got this ?X%&(0#mapped nose figured out.
Some corrections on the masking layer and the various camos have to be made. The kind the canopies are skinned were inspired by pegase's doras.
The 3D effects around the cockpit seem to work quite well.

Level 7An Excellent piece of work to say the least!

12 years agoAdminBeautiful work Armin. This is exactly why I don't put 'quickies' in my skin folders; I'd rather wait for the good stuff like this one
Indeed, the 3D work is superb. Combined with your weathering, it makes the skin appear as a higher resolution than it really is.
