Has anyone heard what the status on Peter Jackson's re-make of the 1955 classsic, "The Dambusters?"
I read that he had commissioned the construction of several very highly detailed Lancaster replicas, but nothing more. The company that was to build them is supposed to be greatly respected in the movie industry.
This is a movie that should be made and I for one would be forst in line to see it.

What other aviation movies do you think should be re-made?

I believe at least one of the replicas was made some time ago and I assume we'll just have to wait untill Jackson is finished with The Hobbit films before he gets involved with the Dam Busters.
As for remakes, I personaly am a bit wary of them however I thought a dark, gritty take on something like the Flying Leathernecks might work. Jackson himself has said he'd like to remake The Blue Max.

Ummm, not all that sure I'd like that. IMAX I could go for, but I have been disappointed with the few 3-D films I've seen.
But I will go see it, even in 3-D. Thanks.
