8 years agoSun May 22 2016, 12:44amAdminFor a while now I've been tinkering with colourizing old black and white photos. Although I've started a few I've only finished a small number to a standard I feel comfortable with, as it has proven to be more difficult than I imagined !Needless to say it has been (and still is) a steep learning curve and ss it stands I still find foliage difficult to get right.
Anyway, here are some of my better efforts...
The following photos of the 332nd FG (the Tuskegee Airmen) are from Duggy's thread here: http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?13410

The aircraft was flown by test pilot Jeffrey Quill. From 6 April 1944, RB140 served with No. 610 Squadron RAF before crashing while landing at Lympne on 30 October.

AdminI've removed the Corsair pic from the first post because of a copyright issue (which doesn't bother me anyway as I wasn't too happy with the my work on that one), however I've worked on few more photos and have decided to create a Facebook page on which to share them so if you'd like to see more then it'd pay to check the page every now and then:

Again, a big thanks to Duggy for his library posts, they're such a great resource
