After flying Il-2, its time for me to quit.!!!
The reason I bought myself a new PC, & moved on to BOS etc.
The old game served me well, but to be honest,even with all the amazing work done by the modders at SAS & Free Modding,once you have flown the new version Il-2 46 just shows its age.
The game play is still ATM ahead of the new version, but that will soon change.
My new beast runs BOS fully maxed out at 130 FPS
The graphics just stunning, and that is the main point, so much more realism.
It is simply stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. After flying my first few hours in BoS I just couldn't go back to Il-2 1946. Not just because of the graphics, but also because the feeling of flight is much better in BoX.

You should try the BoK map, especially the snow covered mountains in the southeastern part look great. I think you can fly the Kuban map in multiplayer, even when you don't own the module.

I will, again just amazed at the simple touches, today the colour of the leaves changed colour,with the time of year.
And my flying ability goes from strength to strength, the jump from IL-2 1946, to BOX is pretty simple.
