When Chris Nolan gets it right he does damn good movies, here's hoping this will be one of them.

I agree, and although it's far too early to tell I'm quietly confident that this won't be too chauvinistic and tacky.

Please, PLEASE let there be no "love interest" storyline.

As short as it was, I was happy to see the trailer showed mainly troops standing on the East Mole. That's where over 2/3 of the troops debarked, not the beaches. Another popular myth is that small boats manned by volunteers played a big part in the evacuation of the BEF.

It will be interesting to see how they depict the friction (and deception) that occurred between the BEF and French Army.

Generally, the Anglo-Saxon ignore or denigrate the French army, even when it is about the World War I

A proper trailer has been released. It looks like the aerial scenes are quite nice and they've used real Spits and Buchons but have over done it with the Stuka sirens.
