7 years agoFri Sep 15 2017, 05:33amAdminClassic Wings Magazine has just announced on Facebook that a F.20 Sea Hornet is now being restored to airworthy condition here in NZ. I don't have any more info but as I feel the DH.103 is the best looking piston engine military aircraft ever built and was renowned for its performance I'm really excited to see this baby fly!

Main AdminThat is amazing news.

AdminSure is! Most if not all the restorations being done here these days are for overseas owners (fair enough) but we do get a chance to see some interesting things flying and I look forward to the day I can watch the Sea Hornet If I recall correctly there is also another Mossie (or two), a P-39 and a Ki-61 and some other projects being worked on so the next few years should be interesting.
