Hi guy's, very promising site. I only want to repeat my request from the old site; can somebody please make a set of early war - Poland, BOF, BOB - He 111 skins. Long over due IMHO. Thanks for reading

I'd support Henky's request, there are suprisingly few skins for the HeIII. Cheruskerarmin has shown just what can be done with the apparently unglamerous work-horses of the luftwaffe with his superb Ju52 and Gigant skins. the HeIII and the Ju88A(which lost a swathe of exellent skins when it was remodeled for 46.10.01) deserve skins of similar quality.

I have Jaypacks template which is very good, and early war He111 skins will feature in monty27s campaigns

I can tell you why many skinners aren't keen to skin this bird:

There's only one wing and one tail fin side to skin. These parts
are mirrored on the 3D-model. That means the camo on the upper
wings is always the same but mirrored. In reality it wasn't that way.
The swastika on the tail fin is mirrored (and therefore appearing wrong)
to the other side.
Unit or factory code letters on the wings under are mirrored. Therefore
a complete code like 1G(right underwing)+AK(left underwing) cannot be
skinned. If it comes to individual aircraft letters on the wings under
only letters A, H, I, M, 0, T, U, V, W, X, Y appear correctly on both undersides. The rest is appearing (wrongly) mirrored on one side.

Anyway the He111 is on my list for future skinpacks since i got jaypacks fine template
(Thx to Phas3e).
At the moment unfortunately less time for skinning, i'd be glad to finish a MTO gigant skinpack i'd begun long ago.

Thanks Phas3e and Armin. I can appreciate it must be frustrating trying to produce accurate, quality skins for such a limiting 3D model. But the HeIII is a significant aircraft and any skins ( however compromised by the model) by skinners of your calibre would be a great improvement. Look forward to seeing some when real-life and other commitments permit.
