One benevolent side effect of the recent happenings has been I've gotten back to skinning again.
Picking up more or less where I left off, here's some previews of some RAAF Boston III 'strafers' I'm working on.





I should have enough research material for about 8-10 skins. I'll also be doing some later Aussie A-20G models as well.

Awesome! Aussie schemes are easily some of my favorites, especially for the A-20; it just looks good in camo! Even more so now, as I spent last January in southeastern Australia, and got to visit the RAAF museum in Melbourne, where they have a Boston III restored in its original colors (DU*J). This was the first time I'd seen an A-20 in person, and it was easily the highlight of the museum. They also had a few "leftovers" from the restoration with the original paint- I've got a few pictures of both, if you're interested!

Btw, I only just noticed you had uploaded your desert schemes for this bird. In now adding them to the missions. I thought they were a list in WIP project, but happily, no.

Out of curiosity, is there a background story with the colour of the underside starboard aileron? A repaint/replacement I guess?

Beautiful! Love the A-20 and disappointed that so few (in the beginning) paid any attention to it with custom skins... so few packs out there. Great to see some more and some RAAF at that!

Yes, the RAAF only had a few aircraft and got most of their spares from the USAAF. So, it was not uncommon for them to have parts that were painted in US colors of OD and Neutral Gray. Some of the later A-20Gs used by the Aussies were in fact left in the original USAAF paint overall.
