I am proud to present the first upload in our single player mission section. The historical missions show the Royal Navys ill-fated attacks on Petsamo and Kirkenes in July 1941.

There are seven missions available:
Kirkenes - Bf-109
Kirkenes - Bf-110
Kirkenes - Fulmar
Kirkenes - Swordfish
Petsamo - Bf-109
Petsamo - Fulmar
Petsamo - Swordfish

The missions are based on an official Royal Navy report published in 1948. Unfortunatly I wasn't able to find any detailed reports from the German side, so the flight routes and the exact number of German planes are not fully historical accurate. I have decided to show the actions at Kirkenes and Petsamo in separate missions, although both attacks took place at the same time, otherwise the missions would have been too complex and the number of planes too high.
Because we don't have Albacore torpedo bombers in the game, I had to replace them with Swordfish. In reality Swordfish only took part in the Petsamo strike.

There are two versions of the missions, one for UP3.0/DBW and one for HSFX 6.0.

It is just amazing how many great Campaigns and skins are being done now;
I think we are all a group of happy campers.

Thanks guys. Building the missions was a test to see if it is possible to faithfully recreate historical missions in the game.
I think in this case it worked quite well, mostly because of Mixx detailed map. At first I had tried to use the stock Murmansk map, but without success. It's just not close enough to the real geography.

When I build the missions I thought exactly the same, but at the moment I have four other DGen campaign projects I need to finish. So maybe it is a project for you?

Unfortunately i can't spend time to fly campaigns or missions inbetween. Whenever a opportunity i am skinning or researching for skinning. My old sidewinder quitted duty too. So i hope much you fmb masters will get a lot of feedback
for your well work from those enjoying it.
