  • There is really not a lot about this "bird"

    Seversky BT-8 was the the first all metal enclosed cockpit trainer for the USAAC.But the cadets soon learned that it had it's quirks.It was prone to ground looping due to it's narrow landing gear.Also the underpowered 400hp engine was not quite enough to pull you out of a steep dive or if you got into trouble.Only 30 were produced--none survive today

    It was beaten by the North American aircraft design that later evolved into the famous and highly-successful AT-6.
