12 years agoMon Apr 02 2012, 02:40amAdminWe had four of these beauties in our amphibious group, I always wanted to draw one so here she is. She was also called "The Thing", and The "Pig". The M40A1 had six, 106 Recoilless Rifles, the ones we had had six 50 cal. spotter guns one on each rifle and a 50 cal. mounted between the recoilless rifles. She was greatly feared by the Viet Cong. There are only a handful left and maybe only two that are operational.

AdminI've always liked the Ontos. It's one of those whacky 50's AFVs that just defy description.

Level 1That Ontos dealt out a lot of nasty to the NVA and Viet Cong.
She used to love starting bush fires with tracer. -
Level 3Takes me right back to early plastic kit days. I had a Renwall(?) Ontos kit with "secret gluing"!
