Unknown aircraft


The sad remains of an unknown aircraft.

Tupolev Tu-104A.
OK-MDE (cn 86601202) This aircraft crash-landed at Nicosia's airport, runway 14 while operating flight CSA 531 from Damascus on 29 August 1973. It overran the runway and veered to the right, 150 m short of

the runway end. No fatalities were reported among the 70 passengers and crew. Since then, the wreckage is situated at the actual place of the accident, 150 m from the edge of the runway.

30/11/1992 The helicopter was damaged in a forced landing in the Troodos Mountains, Cyprus after suffering a bearing failure in the clutch and freewheel device. To Fleetlands store pending a decision on a

rebuild. It was rebuild and was allocated to the SEAE at Arborfield during 06/1996 as TAD015.
