Hello everyone,
As our site continues to grow in terms of members and new content, we would like to clarify our position on what constitutes 'spam posting'.
Our definition is best described this way:
Any post that does not offer supportive reasoning for it's opinon, or drags a discussion off topic is considered 'spam'. Any inappropriate posts on the message boards will be removed by our staff. If an idividual continues to post in this manner, they will recieve a warning, followed by a ban if the warning does not correct the situation.
Additionally, excessive posting or 'shotgun blast' posting for the sole purpose of increasing one's postcount in a short period of time will also be classed as spam. This practice will not be permitted on our message boards, and we are taking a stricter view of this type of posting. Any inappropriate comments will be removed by our staff and the idividual in question will recieve a warning. If the warning does not correct the situation, they will be banned from our forums.
Obvioulsy, we all make posts like this from time to time. You won't be subject to warnings for the occasional "Wow~emoticon~" post...it would be hypocritical for us to take that staunch of a position when we're guilty of it ourselves. It's the volume of such posts we wish to limit, if not eliminate entirely.
With all that being said, let me point out that this is not currently a problem at our site. We wish to make it clear to our members that the sole intention of this amendment is to provide our members with the best possible experience on the message boards. If you have any questions or concerns about this addition to the Terms & Conditions, please feel free to contact any of our staff members.
