... well in fact it is an old but wonderful small mod by Slikk that contrary to stock game, gives a different face to each crew member of any plane that has more than 2 crew members ...!!
And you can also customize it by adding any pilot skin you fancy ...

The skins on this website+improved engines mod+improved turrets mod+improved wheels mod+bomber crew skins mod, has simply brought the B-17 in this game to a whole new level for me. Cannot see myself flying anything else for a loooong time.
