Level 6
RDDR
You know You could be right, There arent that many B 25's hanging around anymore.
It may not seem like that many, but there are only 20 B-24s and 7 B-26s.
The small number of B-26s (3 of the 7 are still under restoration and 2 are on display) is why they used B-25s for Hanover Street. The main star of that film is still under restoration. -
Level 6Also, I'd like both versions. However, if I can only have one, I'll take the J-1.
-
Level 6I have a non-request related question: How do change the picture for your pilot in the campaign? I wanna change it to Toad (From the Mario Series). I already put it in the green-ish gray bmp format as the other pictures, but don't know how to select it.

Level 9... simple ...
1) put your new pilot skin in the Paintschemes >>> Pilots folder
2) Open the .mis file (with notepad for ex) and add the proper line(s) like this
ex with P47s:

PS: If you want to or have free time, could you make the paint on the engines and under the wing like the paint on the tail? By which I mean the silver/neutral grey reaching the wings. I'm sending a picture of what I mean. Pay attention to the engine mount and the fuselage. It might be hard to tell that the grey reaches the wngs on the engine in this picture, but it's also in the first link in the original thread.

Also, I saw your pictures about your flight with the skin and sorry about it's result. I too have flown without an engine and full of bullet holes. -
11 years agoThu Oct 17 2013, 01:58amAdminThanks for taking care of this request; I've been having PC problems (I think I have a bad power supply) and hadn't had a chance to work on it.
Any B-25 with a rear-mounted dorsal (upper) turret is not a J, but an earlier model like a C, D, or G. Only the J and H had the dorsal turret immediately behind the cockpit. I think part of the confusion about this is caused by some Cs and Ds that were converted in the field to have waist guns. Some late-build Ds had waist guns installed at the factory.

Some planes, including many USMC PBJs, also had added tail gun positions. These are usually pretty easily identified by the use of a single gun rather than the later twin mounting seen on the H/J models. The Marines also tended to remove the dorsal turret more often than USAAF units, especially later in the war.

The PBJs at first used the small windows closer to the tail for the waist guns rather than cutting out a larger window just aft of the wing.

11 years agoThu Oct 17 2013, 08:45amLevel 1Thanks Jim.
A joy working with your aircraft models.
The templates are very well laid out.
Sorry to hear about possible Power Supply failures.
They do have a life time like everything else don't they
. Duggy just had to purchase a new Graphics card. and I made several mistakes using wrong drivers with my CH Joystick and pedals .
Once again thanks.
This little project most certainly was fun and I think
Maty12 had a breeze as well.. It was a good chance to see
how we are a team and that we take a lot of pride
in researching offering suggestions, building and unveiling new aircraft.
Detlef thankyou for the very swift B-25 kick in the ass on those birds to the downloads.Much appreciated.
OK talk later everyone ....

Level 6Jim, your pics look awesome. Sorry for the late reply. That tail gun on the last bird sure looks funny (And reminds me of Sucker Punch, as the B-25 in that movie had an aft turret along with waist and tail guns). Anyway, I know that the H and J are the only with the turret in front of the wing, but they put a mock aft turret in her for the movie.
