Hi all,
I came across this video which I found rather interesting as it explained and clarified some things I had noticed in the wartime footage of Coastal Command Beaufighters and Mosquitos attacking shipping in the Norwegian fjords, namely the very long ranges that they would fire their cannons at as well as why their RPs would fall short, sometimes very short, of the targeted ships.

Highly interesting! I knew that Coastal Command pilots tried to penetrate the hull below the waterline, but that rockets could travel 180 feet below water and still penetrate the hull was completely new to me.
Of course I immediately tried to reproduce it in Il-2 GB and unsurprisingly it doesn't work. I don't think any flight sim has ever simulated this.
