Melbourne, Florida – February 19, 2025 – Embraer’s (NYSE: ERJ/B3: EMBR3) Phenom 300 series is once again the world's best-selling, most delivered light jet for the 13th consecutive year, according to data released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). The data also confirmed the light jet as the most delivered twin-engine jet for the fifth year in a row. To achieve this distinction, the company delivered 65 Phenom 300 series aircraft throughout 2024, ending the year with the industry’s highest book-to-bill.
With more than 830 deliveries worldwide, operations in 40 countries and over 2.5 million flight hours, the Phenom 300 series, certified for single-pilot operation, is known for its best-in-class capabilities, delivering the most value, reliability and utilization to its loyal customers globally. The Phenom 300E, the fastest light jet in production, has a high-speed cruise of 464 knots and a five-occupant range of 2,010 nautical miles (3,724 km) with NBAA IFR reserves. The aircraft features advanced avionics, including a Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS)—the first to be developed and certified in business aviation—as well as autothrottle, coupled go-around, Emergency Descent Mode (EDM), and more.
Looking beyond the light jet segment, the data released by GAMA indicates increased market adoption for the company’s medium cabin aircraft. The Praetor 500 now captures over 40 percent of the midsize market share, while deliveries of the Praetor jet family grew by 34 percent year-over-year, highlighting both the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 aircraft’s popularity among corporate flight departments and fleet operations. -

Cologne/Toulouse, 21 February 2025 – The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued the Type Certificate for the Airbus A321XLR powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines. This follows the certification of the CFM LEAP-1A powered A321XLR in July 2024 and paves the way for the first customer aircraft with Pratt & Whitney engines to enter into service later this year.

With the certification and entry-into-service of the GTF-powered A321XLR we will see more operators introduce this game changing aircraft. It is also good news for our customers’ passengers who will benefit from the convenience of new direct city to city connections with a heightened level of cabin comfort.”
The A321XLR sits side by side with widebodies in an airline’s fleet. It introduces the flexibility to add capacity, to open new routes, or even to continue operating existing ones when demand is variable. This is all while burning 30% less fuel per seat than previous generation competitor aircraft. The A321XLR’s new Airspace cabin will provide passengers long haul comfort in all classes.
The first A321XLR completed its maiden flight in June 2022. This was followed by an extensive test programme involving three test aircraft. In 2024, the A321XLR entered into service. So far more than 500 Airbus A321XLRs have been ordered. -

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Feb. 20, 2025 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) and Hanwha have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in connection with the Republic of Korea’s Mine Countermeasures Helicopter (KMCH) program. The agreement supports Northrop Grumman’s longstanding industrial cooperation with the Republic of Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration and defines the work that Hanwha will perform as a supplier.
This MOU follows Korea Aerospace Industries’ (KAI) 2023 contract for Northrop Grumman to provide Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) solutions and technical support for the Engineering, Manufacturing and Design phase of the Republic of Korea’s KMCH program.
Under the agreement, Hanwha will support the manufacturing of ALMDS hardware components.
To date, Northrop Grumman has delivered ALMDS units to the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).
Northrop Grumman’s AN/AES-1 ALMDS detects, classifies and locates floating and near-surface moored mines. Mounted onto a variety of helicopter platforms, the system is capable of untethered day or night operations, which allow it to attain high area search rates. ALMDS also provides accurate target geo-location to support follow-on neutralization of the detected mines. Northrop Grumman’s support of the KMCH program leverages the company’s extensive systems integration and digital engineering expertise.

RAF Typhoons currently based in the Middle East have conducted air-to-air refuelling with a German Air Force, Atlas A400M for the first time.
The operations were carried out both during the night and the day to qualify the RAF pilots in refuelling from a different aircraft type and therefore increase their overall capability while operating in the International Counter Daesh Coalition.
The International Coalition that is conducting the counter Daesh operations in the region has long carried out air-to-air refuelling utilising various tankers from the Coalition’s members. Such activities are known as providing ‘Purple Gas’.
The RAF contributes Voyager multi-role transport tankers to the Coalition for such operations and regularly refuel the aircraft from other Coalition partners. Likewise, RAF aircraft regularly refuel from the tanker aircraft from other nations. This training effectively increases the operational options for the Coalition.
The Atlas A400M is usually configured as a tactical transport aircraft and the RAF operated aircraft are utilised to sustain UK military activities in the Middle East and around the world. The German Air Force, however, can also configure their aircraft for the air-to-air refuelling role.

Tokyo, Japan, 25 February 2025 – ANA Holdings Inc., has ordered 15 E190-E2s aircraft from Embraer (NYSE: ERJ / B3: EMBR3) with options for an additional five aircraft. The selection of the E190-E2 is part of ANA’s fleet renewal plan. The economics and efficiency of the aircraft will enable the airline to enhance nationwide connectivity while providing improved space and comfort for passengers. Deliveries of the E190-E2 aircraft to ANA are expected to commence in 2028.
“We are honoured that Embraer’s E190-E2 small narrowbody aircraft will join ANA’s fleet and we look forward to the delivery of the first aircraft in 2028,” said Martyn Holmes, Chief Commercial Officer, Embraer Commercial Aviation. “The E190-E2 is the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft available, whose size perfectly complements ANA’s fleet of larger narrowbodies. Furthermore, the E2’s cabin will appeal to ANA’s passengers as it offers outstanding comfort and space with no middle seats. We look forward to seeing the aircraft take to the skies across Japan.”
Embraer E-Jets have been operating in Japan since 2009 and are supported by Embraer personnel in the country. ANA’s E190-E2 will be the first of the next generation E-Jets to operate in Japan. The aircraft’s state-of-the-art interior features a spacious, quiet cabin and Embraer’s signature two by two seating. SAN DIEGO – 25 February 2025 – General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) continues to expand the role of unmanned aerial systems, demonstrating the first-ever Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capability on an MQ-9B SeaGuardian®. In a groundbreaking test from January 20-30, 2025, a company-operated MQ-9B SeaGuardian successfully deployed and tested anti-submarine sensors using multiple pre-production Sonobuoy Dispensing System (SDS) pods.
Having already proven its ability to track submerged targets, SeaGuardian took this capability further with GA-ASI’s newly designed SDS pods. These pods deployed multiple sonobuoys to conduct onboard thermal-depth and acoustic data processing. Using Directional Frequency Analysis and Recording (DIFAR), Directional Command Activated Sonobuoy System (DICASS), and Bathythermograph sonobuoys, SeaGuardian effectively detected, tracked, and analyzed underwater targets while collecting critical acoustic intelligence.
“This demonstration represents a major leap forward in unmanned capabilities and marks a major milestone in proving that an unmanned aircraft can perform end-to-end persistent ASW operations,” said GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “The success of this testing paves the way for enhanced anti-submarine warfare capabilities on the MQ-9B SeaGuardian. We look forward to continued collaboration with the U.S. Navy as they explore innovative solutions for distributed maritime operations in the undersea domain.”
As part of the development process, GA-ASI successfully deployed multiple DIFAR and DICASS test sonobuoys, precisely correlating ejection speed with stress/strain data. This provided a high-fidelity launch model to refine future deployment capabilities.
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) AIRWorks played a key role in supporting and overseeing the development, ensuring the system meets emerging warfighter needs. AIRWorks has partnered with GA-ASI in multiple ASW demonstrations, including the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise in July 2024.
With strong demand already in place from multiple customers, GA-ASI anticipates increasing interest in the MQ-9B SeaGuardian, given its high-end maritime capabilities at a significantly lower cost than traditional manned maritime platforms.
