Yes, the last image is better. In my opinion the earlier version was too shiny.

On photos showing captured IJAAF aircraft, they did certainly not look like the highly polished bare metal planes you see on modern airshows.

Yes of course but I will not work a long time on it because it's just a fake plane and some Emils are waiting for me.
