Yes that makes more sense.

Only after reading your post I realized, that it's possible to assign skins to other pilots of the player's squadron in career mode. Until now I was completely unaware of this feature.

It's a great stuff indeed.
Therefore there is a mod to assign a default skin of your own choice to the enemy aircraft.
