11 years agoSat Feb 09 2013, 05:33pmMain AdminJust started to work on an generic skin pack for The TA 152C. I was looking for a decent generic skin for my campaigns but didn?t find a suitable one.
With the kind permission from Mario i assembled a C template with Marios stuff from his great Ta 152H template and Sparty?s old template for the C. Here are the first results:
If there is enough time, i will assemble a generic skin pack for other campaign builders and everyone who is interested in this bird, with different painting styles and for different units

Level 1Really nice looking Defensive scheme Boelcke.
I like. -
Level 7Lookin' good from here. You sure know how to keep busy!

Main AdminThx guys, i didn?t have any time in the last one or two months and still don?t have much free time but if i?m able to spend a little bit of free time for it, it?s very relaxing to paint some interesting planes and the Ta 152C surely is one of the very interesting planes. Investigating books and stuff for it ... I?m stuck deeply in the late war Luftwaffe colours and paintschemes yet ... no end in sight

They look great Detlef, i really love that slaughter bird.

11 years agoTue Feb 05 2013, 06:48amMain AdminI?ve read in Manfred Griehl?s "The last year of the Luftwaffe" that Stab JG 301 had two Ta 152C in April 1945 - i never heard this before, does anyone have more informations about Ta 152C?s which were operational at the end of the war?
@Mario: These are only the first wip?s, i have to rework the colours and the small stuff a little bit more. And without the stuff from your H template it wouldn?t be that nice

11 years agoTue Feb 05 2013, 06:18pmAdminI have seen JG 301 Ta-152C scale models and profils. Allegedly they are based on a Luftwaffe report dated 20 April 1945, that shows two serviceable Ta 152C-1/R3s on strength with Stab JG?301 stationed at Welzow.
I am not sure how credible this information is.
Usually the official "Bestands und Bewegungsmeldungen" are the best source to find such information, but in the net I can't find anything for April 1945. -
Main Adminthx Jan, the most interesting thing for me is from which Focke Wulf factory these planes were build - because of the concerning paint scheme - but i think this will never be discovered
-
Main Adminfinished around ten of the generics, i used some paintschemes from the Doras, relating to the factories like Mimetal, Focke Wulf and Fieseler
and made some skins for various units like JG 1,2,4,6,11,26, 300 and 301
for example ... -
