CV-41 Midway, first US warship too big to use the Panama Canal and her aircraft scored the first MiG kills over Vietnam. Would the first pic be Cdr Duncan who did carrier trials for the F9F off the Midway?

The NAA logo on the control wheel should be the giveaway. North American didn't make too many naval planes and it's very obviously not a FJ Fury!

Well done Jim it is, these aircraft were infamous for being the first aircraft designed to drop/carry the atomic bomb from aircraft carriers.
And for Harry I believe the Pilot is John T Hayward who was the test pilot for the first carrier tests, on April 21st 1950 when these photo's were taken.
