PR Spitfires

After seeing Duggy's American Spitfires thread (http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?4202) I felt inspired to rework my PR X/XI template and skin PA892 My Darling Dorothy (2nd and 3rd pics from the bottom of the thread). However the more I studied the PR XI the more I found wrong with my template although that's not so surprising as it was something of a half-arsed hack from my old F VIII work. So my plan now is to do a twin pack consisting of PA892 (which is an early version PR XI) and a late model RAF bird; apart from the markings the two will differ in small details, mostly due to engine differences.
So far I've fixed some lighting issues around the cowling, corrected the starboard side hatches and some of the wing panels and as you can see I've gone for a lot more subtle approach to the panel lines and rivets compared to my previous Spits (I have more to do with the rivets btw).

Nice to see there's one more spitfire skinner! Hope to see more of these. I would like to get some (A&A private) spit templates too.

Managed to do some more on this during the weekend, spent my time working on those small, no-one-ever-sees-them details
First up:
1. Fuel cooler.
2. Fuel pump blister (both sides).
3. Filler cap or float vent? (Both wings)
4. Wing tank vent valve for blowing out fuel vapor when the tanks have been sitting in the sun for too long. Apparently when taxiing they could "spray fuel clouds like a whale"! (Both wings)
And on the right I've done new ribs for the rudder and elevators as well as some texture and shading for the rudder and trim tab actuators.
1. Wing tank drain pipe (both wings).
2. Reworked fuel pump blister (both wings).
3. Type "P" pilot drain pipe
4. Reworked the reinforcing around the vertical cameras.
5. "Rebecca" Mk II beam approach antenna.
For now I'm posting these w.i.p pics with all the details visible, however that'll change when I do the skins as a number of these details were only present (or not) depending on if the a/c was an early or late build and/or what engine was installed.
Edit: I've also done some new stencils as well.

Here's an update, as you can see I've been fiddling around with the internals. First up is some detail added to that space behind the pilot's seat.
1. Oxygen tank.
2. Pilot's harness which is attached to a frame further back and travels forward to the seat.
3. Tanks for the pneumatic systems which are feed from an engine driven compressor.
The next two pics are of PR specific equipment.
4. Type 35 camera control unit.
5. Camera selector unit.
6. Wing tank fuel cocks.
7. Maps.
8. Rations.
9. Incendiary bomb.
