Cheers schwazehund, Duggy pointed me to that vid recently and I agree it's a great little doco. I especially look forward to if/when he posts more of the footage as there seems to be some real gems in the bits he showed; such as colour footage as well as footage of the P-51Ds the group got to use as escorts late in the war.

Hello Gentlemen...found out about this short documentary on a Spitfire PRU unit, pilot with some cool 16mm b/w footage from the English airbase it flew from ('heads up' courtesy of Beebop/M4T)...cool interview with a pilot who flew over Berlin to get photos:

HB, do you plan to make a skin of 944 too?
Would be a great asset with it's amazing history now

That's a good idea mate! I just had a quick look and found a photo showing the port side of 944 from about the same time as its crash. It'll be a little project for this weekend

Aaaannnnnnnnnd here she is in all her glory
Like PA892 she's a bit rough around the star-n-bars where the invasion stripes have been removed, also the white and yellow spinners where the flight colours although I don't know which colour was for which flight. She'll be available for download soon. -
Doh! I had completely forgot that there's a colour photo of PA944 in Duggy's American Spitfire thread and it shows details I couldn't make out in the black'n'whites I was using, the most noticable difference being the exhaust staining so I'll update the skin.

A brief update; I'll be making a pack of generics for mission/campaign builders, with schemes for the RAF and the 14th PS and in the "Read Me' I'll include a list of what skins are to be used in which theatres at what time.
