10 years agoMon Feb 24 2014, 08:25amLevel 9Nice skin Maty, but in fact we can't see much of it, can't read what's written in red, can't see the drawing much, simply because of the orientation of light (the sun must be at noon in your screenshot) ...
Your screens are too dark (against day) probably because the time must be 12' or around, next time try to modify the time in the QMB box, set it around 7 am or 5 pm and turn the fuselage of your plane in the direction of light ... -
AdminI agree with Mick about the lighting, as per my second post on the second page of this thread. For reference, take a look at some of the other w.i.p threads for examples of lighting your sceane for w.i.p shots; here's one of mine: http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?2182

Level 6So...You like it?

AdminIt looks pretty authentic!
I forgot to mention in my previous post...
When I'm working on nose art for a certain plane, I draw/copy/manipulate the art in a separate file, usually at a much higher resolution than what will be the final size on the skin. I do this for a few reasons. First, it allows for finer details. Second, it makes it easier to copy, alter, and re-use on another type of plane. Third, If I want to ever use it for profile art or high-res skins, I don't have to redraw. (Sizing down is always better for preserving details than sizing up.) -

So...You like it?
... sure !
Now we can, at last, see your nice work !
So keep this in mind for your future screens ;
"always turn the plane towards light ..."

Level 6Thanks for the kind words, guys. And thanks for the tip, Jim.
