just uploaded the Defense of the Reich campaign for Il2 4.12 - a dedicated version for HSFX 7 will follow

What is needed to play the campaign:

- working with IL2 V 4.12 only!!!!


- Asuras DGEN.EXE mod: It?s Version 2.0.1.0 or better

- a Luftwaffe fighter campaign from 1943-45 and (Defense of the Reich)

- an USAAF fighter campaign 1943-45. (Battle over Germany)

The USAAF fighter campaign has mostly airstarts.

New features:

- the fighter ecsorts are staying now with the bomber formations
- real masses of bombers
- more than 100 planes in the air
- more than one mission a day possible

Kown issues:

- atm there is an bug in Asuras dgen.exe mod existing, that every now and then a night mission appears if more than one mission a day is counted

Attention:

This campaign is a real hardware killer, more than 100 planes in the air and the Berlin map is very hardware demanding as well - if you can?t play the campaign with your hardware, i?m sorry but there will be no version available with a reduced number of aircrafts, cause it?s finaly a real feeling of air combat with masses of planes - to reduce the umbers don?t make sense for me.

Keep in mind:

The campaign does work only with Il2 4.12 and Asuras dgen mod - never ever with stock dgen.exe!

An advice for those who are having performance problems because of the large bomber formations. Using GroundIntensity=Low, MaxFLAK=5 and NoAirfieldHighlight in the DGen_mod.ini file can improve the performance.

sorry, but that will differ the campaign completely from what was intended

i have added a lot of ground objects in some parts of the campaign and adjusted the number off AA guns to the value MaxFLAK=40 so that there is enough but not to much flack fire explosions around the bombers, for max immersion - if you have performance problems, it?s much better tp play the former version of the campaign, made for stock Il2 4.11 or better, which will work with stock dgen.exe and Asuras dgen.exe mod as well
