Two F-104As (serial numbers 56-734 and 56-749) were transferred to NACA in October of 1957. They served as high-speed chase aircraft. 56-749 crashed in December of 1962. A third F-104A (56-790) was transferred to NASA in December of 1966.

Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4, (Wk. Nr. 7640), USAAF EB-1, later EB-100. This aircraft was presented to the USA by the USSR in November 1942 as a goodwill gesture after a visit to Moscow by Wendell Wilkie, the US Secretary of State. It arrived at Eglin AFB, Florida on 21 March 1944, where it was flown on a number of test flights.

DC-3 Dakota of Eastern Airlines from 1939 to 1952 as NC21729.She survives to this day at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum where I was lucky enough to sit in the cockpit.

And a nice study of the first FJ-4.
(139279) took off on its maiden flight on October 28, 1954, flown by test pilot Richard Wenzell. It was powered by a 7650 lb.s.t. Wright J65-W-4 engine, the same engine that powered the FJ-3. For some reason, the two prototypes built on the NA-208 contract were designated FJ-4, not XFJ-4.
