Its an M3 adapter cluster bomb.

Something a little different this week.
But soon to grace the skies again.

The stuka 6G+HR served with 7./StG51 in the western campaign and the unit was renamed 4./StG1 in early july 1940. The squadron retained it's paintscheme with the large comet emblem throughout 1940. The 6G codes of III./StG51 remained with II./StG1 (II./SG1) until mid 1944. when it converted from Ju87 to Fw190.

Wonderful detail on these shots of a "Droop Snoot".

You knew you lost life's lottery when you were chosen to be the bombardier in one of those!

Also, any idea on when/where these were taken? The early mark Boston (tapered vertical tail) in the background of the first pic makes me curious.
