12 years agoTue Oct 23 2012, 09:04amLevel 1Thanks for the heads up Mick. These incremental mesh improvements add up to a massive improvement overall.
EDIT:
eeeeeek! This conflicts with Fix engines cowlings and prop?s of PA_Jeronimo, which makes a drop-in JSGME/TMdr (as for TFM) update impossible without remming the PA_Jeronimo folder. -
Level 1Hey Mick,
Your right on the spinners A real improvement.
I personally didn't think it possible. -
Level 9... a very nice X'Mas present from JapanCat, the F2/F4, G2 and G6 Early versions ...

11 years agoWed Jan 09 2013, 02:06pmLevel 9... well now that it's been confirmed, please take into account that JapanCat's new 3D improvements for the Bf109 F2/F4, G2, G6 Early and Late bring a minor bug (considering we normally spend most of our time inside the cockpit rather than outside whenever we fly ...) when you view the cockpit from outside ...
This is due to the fact that in order to respect reality JapanCat moved the cockpit position a little back ...
So now for instance you get the seat straps on the lower right side of the cockpit with a few gauges where the radio switches should be, and the head protection cushion (when there is one in the skin) now sits where the 20 mm gun cover should be ... and Elephant also reports a bug with the windscreen armored glass ...
See here:
http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,29193.msg334018.html#new
There is of course a fix to that, a new mapping for the cockpit skin (to be made), but considering the number of Bf109 skins to be modified, for such a small benefit, leaves very little hope that our skinner friends will someday tackle this subject, and not being a skinner myself I quite understand this is not possible ...
JapanCat's upcoming 109s will I suppose have the same "bug" ... -
Main Adminthat?s true Mick, doing all skins again for this minor effect would realy be a waste of time and completly unbearable
