Wow Grant that is one nice looking F-100D mate, the metal looks fantastic to me, that is one thing I've never done, bare metal. You guys are making it hard for me not to go to mods

As some of you may know, I have asked Jarink to make a base metal layer for the F-100. But while I am waiting for that, I have been working on skins so when it is ready, we should have something really nice to hand over.

Well I found a small glitch in the lines and panels. The nose panels were quite a bit higher and smaller than they should have been. I think this was due to Crazyflak misjudging the scale of the plane. They were close, but not quite close enough, so I made adjustments.

Actually, Crazyflak gave me a clue in a most inadvertant way. He made some marks on the template indicating where the wingroots were and noticing them in comparison to a couple of research photos I was able to resacle the panels to a more accurate size. Not perfect, but someone here once commented that we must sometimes make the best fit with what we have (paraphrase).

I've been working on the metal, but it's been tough sledding since I've been trying to do it in Photoshop. It's rough knowing what I want to do, just not [i]how[/h] to to do it or where to find the right button, menu items, etc.

In the interests of 'getting things done' I'll try switching back to GIMP for a while.

No worries. Do what you gotta do.

Getting there. I still need to find the right amount of contrast, plus bring the darker areas on the fuselage sides up a little.
