I've still got a UP2 install and truth be told I prefer it to UP3/DBW.
As I understand it the current standard is 4.11 +UP3 +DBW (Dark Blue World) and I hear TFM (The Full Monty) is very good.

Clarification: Dark Blue World is based on UP3.0RC and Il2/1946 4.101

Patch 4.09 to 4.101 and add UP3.01 for a straight upgrade

With Dark Blue World you can look at The Full Monty

Future developments will be based on Il2 V4.11m
So another approach is to patch to 4.11

SAS have a 4.11 modact now and HSFX is also based on 4.11

I have two installs now
4.101m with DBW and TFM
4.11m with SAS 4.11m Modact

Damn. Looks like I'm gonna have a late night.

Decided to uninstall Il-2 and patch up to 4.11m and use HSFX. Being told its the simplest way and it brings me up to date with the patches.

... not sure, but may be HSFX is not that easy to mod, I mean if you want to add a new mod to give it a try ...

And also it is mainly dedicated to online flying ...

It goes without saying that I am by no means being critic about a pack that I am not using myself (not using any by the way...)

HSFX isn?t bad, it?s pssible to add masses of mods to it, problems are coming if you want to add additional planes to it

i like it so far, it?s the only mod pack which works with IL2 4.11 yet - and that?s the biggest benefit for offliners, the 4.11 AI is far better than the tweaked UP/DBW AI
