Level 6I'm gonna check f Jarink's skins "fit" the new B-24D, then I'll start two campaigns: OA B-24 one and a B-25 one. How 'bout you guys?

AdminThe very first thing I'll do is have fun flying around in the new flyables and blow stuff up!
After that... well it depends on what else is included in the patch. If the new 3D models for the P-40 E/M which were cut from 4.12 make it in then I might build new templates for those. -
Level 1Is there a release date, and if so will it be compatible with DBW. I would not want to scrap that as it has so much great stuff.

There is no release date. It depends on the results of the beta testing.
I don't think it will be compatible with DBW, but I guess there will be a new HSFX version for 4.13. -

With 4.10 it was just a 0 turned into an O in the buttons (if I remember well), allegedly a typo, and then came the new Dlls with 4.11 and 4.12 ...
God knows what will come with 4.13 ...
The big prob is when new code is introduced in a new patch, you most of the time have to port/convert your own mod to the new DT version, and if you don't know how to do it, then find somebody else who knows/wants/has the time to do it, otherwise your mod won't be compatible, and that's what happened to a lot of 4.09 mods that were never converted to the next patch ...
Converting/porting mods to the latest patch is very time consuming, even if you know how to do it (which means you somehow guessed or cracked what's new in the new code, cracking a Dll can take weeks and beyond ...) which means you have no time left to mod new things while you spend your free time converting to 4.xx ...
That's why there are still 4.09 Rebels (I am one of them) who think that to avoid all that mess with converting dozens of existing mods to the new code, the easiest way is to extract what's new and interesting in the new patch and import it in our beloved (and code STABLE) 4.09 ...
Otherwise you'll spend your life running after DT's patches, and converting more and more mods ...
Upcoming packs such as Lutz's AOC and Freddy's team IES1 (ex Histomod) are based upon a 4.09 version of the game ...
The only drawback is that these two packs will have SFS extraction protection, in order to prevent "borrowings" ... otherwise Freddy wouldn't have released his new Bf109 and D520 3D cockpits (with all levers and switches operational) ...
I know A&A is a quality site, so guys take a look at these WIP screenies ...

I have it on good authority that they will "fit", though there will be some misalignment issues. Most of these issues will be in the nose area, since that's where most of the external 3D changes are.
