And a detailed shot of a 315th Bomb Wing B-29B, the first unit to use the APQ-7, "Eagle" Radar. The antenna appeared as a 16 ft wing below the fuselage between the bomb bays. It replaced the APQ-13 Radar.Only one unit, the 315th Bombardment Wing of the 21st Bomber Command was fully equipped with Eagle, flying for one month before the war ended. -
