11 years agoLevel 1Hello everyone,
I was working on one of my Tin Tin campaigns, so I wanted to put some CANT 1007bis with R.A. markings, but when I pressed insert to place the first wsypoint, the game suddenly freezes, then CTD. I tried 2 more times with same result. So then I thought if I went on QMB, I could solve the problem. So I selected the SM 79, put R.A. markings and clicked fly. The mission starts to load, but then it went CTD at 30%. So, maybe there was a corrupt file somewhere, so I scanned my Il2 folder with my anti-virus software. Nothing. So now I ask you guys to help me out.
What I have:
Full Monty
P-40A
P-35
IK-3
Seawulves
He-111 pack
Re-2001
G-56
I appreciate you guys to help me out.
Cheers,
Einfeld -

you posted the same question at SAS, did you ever notice this guide:

11 years agoAdminCool, now that we know what Tin Tin is; what's M4T?
Yes, Chris is right about the fictional stuff; not much interest in that sort of thing here. If you had any idea the amount of research that goes into the skins, campaigns, and photo documentation from the crowd that resides here, you'd know what I mean. These guys take the preservation of history very seriously, bless their hearts.
Einfeld, Boelke linked to an excellent resource in that trouble-shooting guide. I have not seen your post at SAS, but I'll offer some recommendations based on personal experience. Regarding the 30% crash issue, my first thought is that you are experiencing a 'buttons' issue, or perhaps you are lacking the DiffFM. Not knowing what brand of mod you're flying (DBW, UP, HSFX, ModAct, etc.), it's difficult to target a specific cause of your problem. It might even be something with the map you are using; a lack of ini entries, objects, textures, etc.
The latest SAS buttons can be found here: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,97.0.html
AutoDiffFM can be found here: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,24777.0.html
Diff FM for 4.10: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,12169.0.html
Diff FM for 4.09: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3988.0.html
If the trouble-shooting guide, or any of the above are not helpful, then I would suggest doing some back-tracking. Uninstall your most recent additions, one at a time, in the reverse order they were installed, until you no longer experience the crash. Once you've determined the culprit, check it's download page once again to determine it's compatibility with your version of IL2. It could be something so simple as downloading an incorrect version, or perhaps the mod is not yet compatible with your version.
Also check any applicable ini files, to ensure that the correct entries were made per the mod's installation instructions. Other considerations are; the order in which the mod/s loads in relation to other mods, and the application of any classfiles within the mod's folder. If classfiles are present, try loading the mod with jsgme, sometimes that helps. I've even had a situation with GurnerFX4.3, where I had to remove a single classfile to get it working with ModAct4.11. I've seen cases with effects mods, where folks have removed classfiles in their entirety, just to get it working with their version of IL2.
Regarding "order of loading", have a look here; Total MODder1.2, great tool!:
http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,17645.0.html
So give these ideas a try, it can't hurt. I'm sure you know to make backups of any files you plan to modify. And let us know if you find a cure, so it might help others in a similar situation. -
Level 1Thank you Detlef. Thank you Rudi, and Einfeld 11.

AdminMaybe this Tintin?

If I remember correctly, somebody was working on a Syldavia and Borduria campaign many years ago, but I think it was never finished. There were even a few skins for these fictional countries. -
Level 3Ah this version is much more complex than the Sydavia-Borduria war. If memory serves in the TinTin campaigns Syldavia, now a communist dictatorship, starts WWIII and takes on the axis powers which now include Britain and America. I can't remember whos side everyone else was on. Safe to say unlike Herge's original creation, which was based closely on Balkan politics and culture in the late 1930s, the TinTin campaigns are a little more far fetched.

I run DBW, so Diff FM and buttons is not a problem. I meant i get 30% ctd as i load a mission. also, when i try to place a waypoint, i get a ctd. thanks for the advice though.
