Sorry I couldn't have joined the guys on this project Mick.
At the the last moment I was told that it wouldn't work with DBW,however Mike contacted me again and said he was sorry but not to worry as the DBW guys would not be forgotten. I hope Max or someone does a Template, for as you know without one,many others are left out of the loop.

Having a problem with the Donbass mini campaign.

I get an error message. I installed this in to a IL21946 4.12.2 SAS Modact 5.3 configuration as per the instructions. I can generate the campaign, but the left side of the briefing screen (where the map should be) is blank. The briefing details are in the right side of the screen and I can pick the load outs, etc...but when I click on "fly" I get the following message:


ERROR
Mission loading failed: Landscape 'Donbass/load ini' loading error

I'm guessing I'm missing the Donbass map, but shouldn't that be already included with the 4.12.2 and the SAS Modact 5.3? If not, where can I get the map and how to install it?

Well, although I don't know a thing about a 4.12 install, the error message you get means the Donbass map doesn't load, and since Poltava writes that :

In order to play this campaign you will need
A.) The SAS Modact 5.3 version of IL-2 1946 version 4.12.2
B.) The flyable version of the He-177 - of course!

... then I think the Donbass map should be included in your install, provided you have the SAS Modact 5.3 version of IL-2 1946 version 4.12.2 ...

May be you can check this if you can see a "Maps" folder in your install (root of your game)

I have DBW 1.71 and Modac 3 and the reduced Full Monty .
Can I bypass the other Modacs and go directly to 5.3 after disabling JSGME to upgrade?

Sorry Chris but I don't (and never have) use any mod act nor jsgme, so I don't want you to screw your install because of my bad piece of advice ...!!

May be you can update the way you think, may be it is not necessary since the lastest mod act is for 4.12 xx versions of the game ...

May be Monty can tell you for sure if this is a good idea, but anyway you don't need any mod act or game update of no sort to install and use the He177 Greif, since it is a "one size fits all" version mod ...

You just don't need the 4.09 related stuff that comes in a separate link ...
